Hi All,
I have mentioned my fondness for pairing signed items, usually products like CD's or some other "official thing", with 2-sided album flats (12" x 12" or 12"x 15") related to the signature and/or my favorite from that artist. It seems to me there are/will be less paper/printed materials like these album flats being produced now in this digital age? Are press kits totally digital now? Are double weight matte or pearl finish b/w photographs still produced as promotional? If this is decreasing, these items might be a good thing to pick up. I got the flat below for next to nothing - 1995 Outside. It is a self portrait by Bowie (with added album title and altered side-to-side ratio from a rectangular vertical original to a 12" square album). The lithograph is $1.5K or so - this seems a good "placeholder", and it is an official product. Obviously, it is not "art" in the sense of the original lithograph, but it is cool.
Eric
