Another PSA/DNA Michael Jackson mess-up?

In my opinion, yes! This is a Michael Jackson PSA/DNA authenticated Thriller album. If you look at the date on the LOA, this was authenticated less than two months after MJ died. Considering some of the other MJ PSA screw-ups I have seen around this time, it appears as though PSA's exemplar file for Michael Jackson must have been severely lacking around this time.

In my opinion this is pathetic. This actually sold for only $1000 recently. I have seen two recent MJ PSA 8x10s sell for $1200 and $1500 respectively. Signed MJ Thriller albums sell for $2500+. Within the last year I saw a PSA "BAD" album sell for $3700 on eBay. But it's hard to believe anyone even paid $1000 for this forgery!

You have to do your homework, even if psa has passed it. A complete waste of money.

Unfortunately Paul, with that PSA sticker it isn't worthless. They will always be able to resell it to someone else who hasn't done their homework.

It's sad how much that little sticker means, I am glad this site is around for people to learn.

Not sure, but probably with a full cert I don't see them turning it away, unless Roger supercedes PSA in RR Auctions mind.

I was just thinking along the lines of how careful are they with selecting graphs that have been authenticated,even with the likes of jsa, im curious to know their process.

I honestly think (my opinion only) they would look to see someone at PSA signed off on it and they wouldn't second guess it. Unless they have Roger pre authenticate it too and he doesn't like it. I imagine then someone like Steve Grad gets involved.

However, have you ever heard of PSA saying something is authentic with a LOA then coming back later on saying they made a mistake?
