Any chance this might be authentic Mantle?

He Folks, newb here. I've had this for years, it's on the inner sleeve of a Boris Karloff - Peter and the Wolf album and has always given me a chuckle a it looks NOTHING like any Mantle autograph I've ever seen. Thought I'd throw it out there in case there was some weird period of the Mick's life where he signed in a completely different style. Thanks for weighing in, if you are so inclined. - Chris

No, sorry, Ive never seen that style either. There are some really good Mantle people on here, though. Maybe someone else might have better news.

Hah! That's what I came here expecting. No worries and thanks for weighing in. It's one of a number of curious signed items that I have where the sigs were completely incidental to the purchase. I'll have to take a pic of the purported Charles Schultz one.

I would agree it's scary if it were trying to be sold. However, it shall remain close to the grooves of the aged children's record where it has been for many a year. I always wondered what the story behind it was, if someone was just taking the piss or what.
