Beatles Autographs on Fan Club Membership

This was on sale at an auction house in England today, they said the signatures were unverified so I wasn't sure whether to take a punt and make a bid, in the end I didn't.

Unverified usually means not genuine!!! No auction house would ever indicate a set of Beatles signatures as unverified if there was a snowballs chance in you know where that they were genuine.

Thanks for your replies people and I am glad I didn't take a chance. I see in the end it sold for around $400 so I guess that price says everything. Still it is a lot of money someone just paid for a secretarial. Cheers

Hi Jeffrery. It was Cato Crane in Liverpool and unfortunately it is a definite set of secretariats. Finished price as you can see was £250 and they only had an estimated price of £20-£40 which is ok for secretarials. Including commission etc (20 percent or similar). Hope this helps, I just found this for you now after doing a search for realised prices.

Thanks, that was a big help. Sadly, I did pay way too much. Not sure if I bought it from the person who bought it at auction, or from the person who had consigned it to the auction. My $ transfer has already been completed, so not sure if I can get the $ back at this point.

Man, sorry to hear that. Well the auction was only a couple of days ago so I would think it was sold to you by the person who bought it as I was online when it sold and it seemed like it sold to somebody in the auction room and it definitely sold. I would definitely contact them to get your money back based on this. Tell them you know for definite is not a real set and if they sold them to you based on this face demand authentication to prove it. I was close to bidding myself but I was totally unsure so didn't in the end. Best of luck and sorry to hear about this. Keep me updated.

I think what fab432 is great advice and there is an actual police section in the Uk that handle this kind of fraud. By the way it might be useful for people on here to know whom you bought it from so we know for future reference. I am amazed how quick it was sold from auction day to when you bought it.
