Sorry I was abrupt my new puppy floundered in and of course, chaos ensued. I did not buy it, it is actually a signed copy of "Exodus" that I had signed at a Minneapolis record store in the late 70's. Memories from that era are sketchy at best, but if I recall at least vaguely it was not the "Exodus" tour because I felt awkward having the wrong album, but not a whole lot because A. Mr Marley was quite the mellow gentleman and B. Punk rock was more my cuppa tea and i really didnt want to buy another reggae album so I brought along the one I had. It is the classic record store signing story and still in amazingly good shape despite having moved at least a dozen times, 3 cross country. long story short I have a son going to college in the fall and want to see if anyone is interested in this sorta thang.

I would like comments from someone who knows these things, as I was lacking foresight to have the actual signing documented with photographers and notarys and whatnots when I was a teenager back in the 70's. Thanks guys and gals! I am a "newbie" and I am flabbergasted AND gobsmacked by the sheer volume of apparent forgeries. Do many people get prosecuted? Do people get all weasely and say things like "I just said it was signed 'Jesus Christ', I never said Jesus Christ signed it"? The passion and tenacity it takes to collect autographs is really impressive! Sorry if i got off subject in the forum. Thanks y'all!

I think George Karr gave you the best advice in recommending getting your wonderful autograph authenticated by PSA, JSA or first I'd get Roger Epperson's opinion for $15, his link is on the sidebar at the top of this page.
I have plenty of in person autographs myself with no COA or proof and I have bought many without COA's. But in this case, if you are looking to get a decent price for such a precious item, it would be the best route to take, however a Marley enthusiast would be interested COA or not, once you tell them the provenance of the piece and they are familiar with his signature.

Thank you, that is indeed sound advice. I really must be getting along with this transaction. It is actually beginning to sink in that this is indeed rather valuable. I really haven't seen anything like it on the 'net. I kinda forgot about it for a decade or two as life happened so it remained in good shape. Life happened some more and now it must go. Thanks again, Micko! Hmmm. Your name makes me want to listen to The Clash. Daylight makes me want to listen to The Clash. Putting my shoes on makes me...enough.

Hey Lois,

I was at the Wax Museum record store that day May 30, 1978 when Bob Marley made an appearance and signed albums before his concert at Northrop Auditorium on The University of Minnesota campus. I have an Exodus and Survival album he signed (see attached) and I can verify that your signature is authentic. Identical to mine.
