I had been looking at the ebay seller "celebrityautographs" - they had a Zachary Quinto (now sold) which looked very suspicious to me, and based on the prices of their other autos, I assumed the vast majority are fake.

Having said that, they have over 20,000+ positive ebay feedback so I tried to look into them a bit more. Until May this year, their username was worldwidegraphs, which had been mentioned on here once before (and not in a positive light).

Concerningly, one of the few references I found to World Wide Graphs was on a "History for Sale" piece, a Michelle Williams auto (for an obsence amount) that said it came with a COA from World Wide Graphs Inc - http://www.historyforsale.com/michelle-williams-photograph-signed/d...

Can anyone shed any light on this ebay seller?  (And are they the same as World Wide Graphs Inc, in which case I'm concerned a UACC seller is selling something with a COA from them).

There have been a few discussions of this seller (History For Sale).  For the most part he has some really good items especially documents and letters.  There are some problem autographs such as secretarial versions he has not weened out of his listings.  As I have said before I believe he is honest but his prices bear no resemblance to fair market value.  He does have a few rare things that might tempt someone.  I have been tempted but just no way I would pay $1000 for a $100 item.

Yep - I was shocked at a lot of the prices on History for Sale, particularly if they are  buying and reselling from sources that aren't necessarily legit - world wide graphs in this case - but wasn't sure if "World Wide Graphs Inc" was the same as "worldwidegraphs" on ebay.

Your shock is understandable most people are.  Granted anyone can place whatever value they want on anything.  My old toothbrush will be up for a buy it now of $799.00 soon. The main beef I have is that often his prices give people unrealistic expectations.  They have desirable autograph that is worth maybe $200 and find his for $2500. Automatically they put theirs on for $2000 you will see a lot like that on eBay.  They just sit there.  As far as modern autographs I am not sure how good he is.  I only have looked at classic entertainment and historical autographs on there.  I do know a few years ago he or someone was buying a lot of contracts etc. up since I am certain I bid on some that he has.  I am not sure about the other company you mention never dealt with them.  I do know he has secretarial versions of Heston, Griffith, etc on there.

History for sale is extremely over priced on everything. As far as I know, they are not affiliated. Michelle often signs with a wiggly line, so a tough one to authenticate.

Thanks - it wasn't her in particular, it was more celebrityautographs in general on ebay, as a lot of their autos don't seem legit.  The link to history for sale was just what I found when trying to find info on celebrityautographs/worldwidegraphs.

Are they a UACC Member or Dealer as their is a difference. I'm sure UACC would look into this and intervene to ensure compliance of there code of practice. It would be welcomed if they replied on AL to Steve to clarify this matter.

This is $9.99 clearing house for forgeries.

There was a World Wide Graphs or wideworldgraphs seller on ebay that would buy up good pieces at high prices from other respected dealers .....then list them at even higher prices.

and there is movieautographsworldwide which handles UK show signers autographs

History for Sale, you will find a bit of a mixed bag, but they do handle some great stuff at scary high prices. But hey sometimes the right piece is the right piece and you pony up the cash if you want it enough.
