I got him once, when he was visiting the "Deutscher Filmball" in January 2009 here in Munich. It was actually just a rumor that he could possibly make an appearance as he was anyway in town to promote "Deviance" and the gala was held in the exact hotel he was staying.

I waited for hours in the freezing cold without actually knowing if he would come or not. Later in the evening I then heard british speaking security discussing things with the local security guys and brought myself into position.

Unfortunately it was a very brief encounter as Daniel Craig was constantly surrounded by security guards and they did their very best to keep fans away from him. Nevertheless Daniel managed to "break through" and did a very few signatures for his fans. This was one of my very most remarkable in-person experiences that I'll sure never forget.

Honestly I doubt that he will sign through the mail.

thanks so much for your reply!! I have seen his autograph, and like the one he gave you, it's just a huge scrawl....guess he was in a hurry/being rushed/etc......too bad the darn security people have to keep some of these celebs away from their public....after all, it's their job, but let's be reasonable....I'm not saying a celeb should stand for hours signing, but at least give the fans a few minutes!!!!!!! oh well, it'll never change I guess. However, I have had lots of success writing to people c/o the theater they were appearing in.....hopefully you are wrong and I'll get a 'scrawl' from him!! thanks again for sharing your experience!!
