I would say $500 but since it's Steiner you know it's legitimate so no more than $1000. You can probably send it in at a later date and have Jeter sign it as well. Jeter is tremendously expensive at Steiner but think of how much a game worn shirt of Reggie Jackson would go for today.

the seller was asking $1300 but the lowest hes willing to go is $1100. havent seen any other auctions of his undershirts so wasnt sure how much was too much

Game used Jeter items (other than wrist bands) are rare. even at 1100 you would not lose money on resale.

the one im looking at comes with a derek jeter signed typed letter stating he wore it during the 2010 season

The link above will take you to Steiner's website where you can purchase a game worn Jeter shirt for much less but I'm not sure if Jeter signed anything. I would rather purchase the shirt directly from Steiner and then send the actual shirt to Steiner in the future to have Jeter sign the actual shirt. That way you will have a game used shirt signed by Jeter himself and not an LOA signed by Jeter. But that's just me.

I would contact Steiner tomorrow and ask how much it would cost to have Jeter sign the item on their website and figure out the difference in price because I would rather deal directly with Steiner. I would also tell the seller that you found the item on Steiner's website for $400 less. It's not as if the Yanks won the World Series either of those two years.
