This signed copy of the Doors album "Waiting For The Sun" was offered for sale along with a notarized statement from the person for whom it was signed. She claims to have received the signed album for her birthday in 1968, three weeks prior to the album's release. While the signatures on the front look absolutely authentic to me, I'm thinking that the Morrison signature may be secretarial. Opinions?

What do you know about Morrison secretarials? I don't know anything about them.

I agree, it doesn't look like I'd expect his signature to look. It does have a quality or two I like, but I don't think it's Morrison. What surprises me is the rough condition of the front cover, since they gave it to her signed. Wouldn't you expect it to have been better taken care of? Have you checked the production and release dates to see if the story adds up?

Here's the RR piece that just sold...

I'm just guessing about the Morrison signature being a secretarial, and don't have anything to compare it to.

Good point about the condition of the cover. Unfortunately, she didn't provide her birth date.
