the signatures on that album are the original Eagles band and the ones that performed on that specific album. its as complete as you can get.

Don't get crazy now. Maybe you've heard of the Doors, .... Bob Dylan and The Band? I was going to say Jimi Hendrix but he used British musicians. The Eagles are ok, they had a ton of hits per say but they were very generic and like Seger, Springsteen, Mellencamp they suited doctors and lawyers (yuppies) rather then the listeners looking for musical expansion, they are equivalent to guys like Eric Church now, pop countryish radio friendly hit makers. You said the Beach Boys, and they are easily on top of the list. For me anyway, I don't care about hits, I care about expanding music being original and The Eagles didn't really do either.

I understand, and I like all of those groups. I consider Dylan an individual. However if you look at the number of hits Henley,Walsh even Frey in the eighties individually plus collectively as the Eagles. I dont see how these other groups could compare. Of course its mainstream and broad but if you had to pick a "winner" which would it be? Ps Steiger Im glad your back.

The Eagles had their own sound, what might put people off is they were played to death, even I turn the radio sometimes at the opening rift of Hotel California. Their greatest hits album ranks up there all time and they are just finishing up one long world tour and still sound great! Door uh no Beach B uh nah.
