I bit the bullet and purchased an Elvis
multi-signed on the back of a photo.  It is on the back of a photo of
another artist named Jimmy Lee and he signed the front.  The other signers
on the piece are Scotty Moore, Billy Walker, Freddie Franks, Bobby Garrett
and one of the Blue Moon Boys who played guitar on all the early sessions with
Elvis.  My question is your if you know the
other guys other then scotty Moore.  I have never heard of them.  Any info would be great.

Thanks,

Jonah

Billy Walker was a country singer and guitarist. He is a longtime Grand Ole Opry member.

Wow!  Well impressed. Jimmy Lee partnered Country Johnny Mathis calling themselves "Jimmy and Johnny" in the 50s recording for the Labels Feature, Chess, De, D and Vin. They released the classic and sort after 'Love Me' 'Sweet love on my mind's and 'I can't find the doorknob'. 'Love Me' was recorded in 1955 and rocked as much as anything Elvis did at that time perhaps even more.

Billy Walker best recording was in my opinion 'Leaving on my mind on the Columbia label'. A Johnny Horton type recording with Guitar legend Grady Martin on guitar. He was there at Hank Williams last show and Elvis Presley's first big public appearance in Memphis.

Freddie Frank recorded a one off Capitol single but his main claim to fame is that he demo-ed some songs for Jack Rhodes who was Gene Vincent's manager at the time. These included 'Red blue jeans and a pony tail' and 'Trying to be my baby's a copy of Carl Perkins classic.

You can hear all these tracks on YouTube and there is a colour performance of 'Jimmy and Johnny's on there.

Glad to be of help

Andy
