While I haven't seen this in person yet, I'm asking for an opinion if, visually, this appears to be an Elvis sig, either from 1961 or 1968, when I know for a fact he was at the location where this was claimed to be signed. Thanks for any responses.

I don't trust it.

Thank you Steve. I'll give you a little more background info. This sig was on the back of the waiters restaurant ticket book. There are two more of them on two more separate ticket books, one from Anne Francis and another from Shirley Temple Black. Because I manage the hotel property (the hotel has been shut down for 22 years), I do know the ticket books, long since gone, are genuine and not available anywhere. I also know that this waiter did wait on all three of these people. He was known to ask celebs he waited on to sign the back of his ticket book. I have asked a good friend who worked with him if, in fact he did this and he confirmed that he did. The only thing I don't know for sure is if Elvis signed one for him. The hotel was Coco Palms where Elvis filmed Blue Hawaii and stayed at several more times. Perhaps I should have the ink date tested. The waiter is deceased and his family is selling these.

I agree with Steve it´s not authentic,  the incription to Shirley Temple also not Elvis penmanship.

Roger is the way to go if you want 110% Peace of mind.

Dosen´t matter    Joe Esposito or sweet inspiration , die hard Elvis fan knows about Elvis so called " friends"  Selling fake memorbilia in his name, Paul Litcher to name one.

I agree with Steve, there is something off about this signature.  Starting with the E.

Steve, I'd like to give you more info about the Elvis autograph that you question. I met with the seller today. The autographs aren't on ticket books, they are on the back of menus. There was Elvis, another menu with Anne Francis and a third with Shirley Temple Black. As the property manager, I can guarantee the menus are vintage, originals, not reprints. By looking at the sales tax rate, I've determined that these menus were only used between 1965 and 1969. In 1969, the hotel sold and the new owners name and logos were on the new menus.

Because of that, I believe this menu was signed by Elvis in 1968, his first visit since filming Blue Hawaii there in 1961. It is also the only time Elvis brought Priscilla to the Coco Palms. I am attaching a photo of the two of them in the dining room. If you have any connection to Joe Esposito, he can confirm that because he always came with Elvis.

I am also going to attach pics of the sigs of Anne Francis and Shirley Temple Black, also signed on the back of the same kind of menus. This will help establish the waiters pattern of asking celebrity guests to sign menus.

The waiter who had these is deceased. His first name was Ken...I am doing additional research to learn his last name. When he became ill, he gave these signed menus to a friend who held on to them for many years. That is who I purchased them from.

Hopefully, you will examine the Elvis sig again. On this little island we don't have anybody sophisticated enough to forge signatures. Many Thanks

I am unsure on the signature but that is a beautiful pic of the King with Priscilla.

Max, the Shirley Temple Black is on another menu...it is her signature and isn't related to the Elvis sig other than it shows the waiter who obtained these sigs when the celebs stayed at Coco Palms had a habit of asking them to sign the back of menus. The menus were in the possesion of the waiter for over forty years....they never left Kauai. All the menus are from the Coco Palms where Elvis filmed Blue Hawaii.

You mentioned Roger is the way to go...who are you talking about? Thanks

Roger Epperson. he will do a quick opinion for something like 15 dollars.  there is a link in the upper right hand corner of this page

Your autograph reminds of this one, not authentic either.

Nice try but not authentic.

And this one too..which sold on eBay a year or two ago.

This one had a Hawaii story (provenance) as well, signed during the set while shooting Blue Hawaii.
