I received this Ben Roethlisberger autograph forgery today from the Ebay seller tagsportsinc  I have filled a case with ebay as soon as I saw the 8x10 when I opened it. The seller copied an original 8x10 with an autograph then traced it with a sharpie.  I just want to get this out there to prevent this from happening to someone else. I didn't notice the lines from the pictures the seller posted on the listing.

Looks like he got a negative before for the same thing so make sure you leave bad feedback once you get your refund

Yes I definitely will. I was looking closely at a bunch the seller has sold in the last month alone and I believe they are done the same way. I hope EBay shuts the seller down.

I've seen more and more of this. Someone taking a printed copy of a signed photo and then tracing over it with live ink.  I wrote about it on my blog back in November.

Here is an example of a Buzz Aldrin where you can see the printed part peeking out from under the traced over ink.

Yeah, the slow pen strokes give it away.  This guy is a forger.

Guy has high quality uploads, which seems like a bad idea when you have slow, shaky traced signatures.

I called ebay today and told them what to look for And allot of people got ripped off. The seller removed all of there photo signatures. The seller sent me this message "OMG!! I am so sorry! I took a look at this photo, and im so ashamed to have this one slip by me. The company that certifies my items have been doing such a great job, i made the ultimate mistake by not inspecting this item before I listed it! I bought another seller out, and it was about a 65 photo lot, so when the photos were returned back to me, I just threw them on here without even looking at the photos. They declined 17 of them, so I have no idea how this one slipped threw, but in the end it is my fault for not inspecting each item, but trust me, I deft. will not let that happen again! As you can see, I just gave you a full refund, and do me a favor, and just tear it up, dont worry about sending it back, so it dont get relisted later by someone else. Once again I apologize, and I have no problem if you give negative feedback, cause I deserve it after not catching that!"

I feel bad for all the people that have no idea they were scammed. I don't know to what extent Ebay can refund past sales of fakes and how long they can go back on there investigation.

He characterizes them as "in person."  That implies he's the one getting them.  That implicates him as the forger.  He can try to backpeddle out of it all he wants, but he's a liar and a fraud.

I told Ebay they could use my email I received from the seller for there case and to call me if they needed to for any reason. Can Ebay sue the seller for fraud or anything similar to that?

They got someone for $175 for a Jeter picture, and the buyer just recently left a positive feedback. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Derek-Jeter-New-York-Yankee-039-s-Autograph...

Ebay really doesn't care all that much - they're cashing in regardless.  There are thousands and thousands of forgeries sold there every day.

The seller is removing items to let things calm down and will soon relist. He is a liar. Once you get your refund I'd leave feedback and I guarantee he will be listing again in a few days
