Here's yet another ugly and obvious Mickey Mantle forgery on a baseball that recently sold on EBay.

The below putrid-looking Mickey Mantle forgery on a baseball was listed and sold by Ebay seller Drumminhawk for $215.00.

A wannabe autograph collector wasted $215.00 on this piece-of-crap Mickey Mantle forgery.

This Mickey Mantle forgery sold by Ebay seller Drumminhawk is another laughable forgery that sold on EBay.

Ebay continues, as they have for the past twenty years, to profit from the sales of forgeries.

Crap like this continues to devalue the authentic autograph collections of true collectors.

The worthless and bogus COA is from All Star Collectibles.

This actually sold?  Awful.

It sure did, John.

That proves that the majority of people who buy autographs have no idea what they are looking at.

This and other ugly balls prove it.  I tried educating someone on the issues of the attached photos of a ball that was supposed to be signed by Mantle, Mays, and Snider and was posted on a Facebook group page, only to be attacked by another group member.  I have also attached the COA.  Some people will never learn.

John, those people will never learn.

They have no clue as to what they are looking at.

they just have no clue, period.

They really don't.  They first ask why you are pointing out that it is no good, so you politely explain, then they start with the "oh, now that we have you we don't need PSA" or "I suppose your going to start criticizing COAs next".  So I just use the "I will pay 100% of the authentication fees if PSA proves me to be wrong".  That usually ends it right there.  Chris is completely right when he points out the negative effect this crap has on the value of authentic collections.

no sense pointing it out politely that they are committing a crime. They are idiots PERIOD. They want to believe, because it makes them feel hot and irritated with the thought that they may have been an idiot about being ripped off themselves, thinking they are so smart getting something too good to be true...NEWS FLASH MORONS: You're not. You're getting bent over and rammed. Subliminally, they think they know more than people who actually study these things ad nauseam that are calling them out when a fourth grader with one eye could figure it out if they put in a legitimate 8-hour day.

They have probably never put in an honest days work in their lives like most Americans.

There is NO GRAY AREA with these and complete imbeciles that sell them... and the moronic Facework group can cry foul all day long. It's not going to magically appear real: however they are idiots forever and will live their lives that way and achieve nothing and be nothing, null zero's. I hope that helps John.

If that dopey dolittle with that pathetic dime store phony ball comes on this site wondering and hoping it's real I'm HOPING the tooth fairy will come when the trailer trash loses another tooofff,....he won't.

Those are horrible. Thanks for educating me on how to pick out forgeries.

Just look at those stupid looking shakey bottoms of the Ms. Ebay really should be ashamed letting this stuff be sold. They are becoming Craigs list.
