Has anyone ever got this signed before?( Mini home plate)

I purchased this item to take to some ballgames this year. I was wandering if anyone has ever had anyone autograph one of these, and what type of marker did you use? I'm thinking a black Sharpie would work, but I do like paint pens better. Those might take a lot longer to dry on this type item though.

Just curious. Thank you.

I wouldnt use a paint pen. The plate has a lot of oil in it and the pen will run out of ink right away. Like in the first letter. I wouldn't use a regular sharpie either as the same thing will happen. The best thing to use is a chisel tip sharpie.  This is a hard item to get signed , over time the autograph fades and yellows.
Paint pen are horrible unless its in a controlled environment.

Here is the type you should use.

What exactly is different about the chisel Sharpie compared to just a plain Sharpie?

Will the black Sharpies fade over time on this item? I plan on encasing it.

Thank you.
