The receipt is dated 1996.

You have no legal recourse. The business (assuming it was ever registered) isn't registered any longer.

What I'd do in this situation? Write it off as a loss and move on with my life. Same thing practically every other victim of fraud or theft (except a small percentage of lucky ones) has to do.

It sucks, but them's the ropes.

I found someone with this name online, in Thousand Oaks, with a phone number - I imagine you did as well?

Eric

Virgil,

PLEASE, please read your PM/friend request from me. That was a mistake. I was sending you contact info I think you'd like, and my "cut and paste" pasted the wrong thing. It was an accident. The info you seek is in your friend request.

So sorry,

           Eric
