If you could only keep ONE of your autographed possessions

Somewhat new to these forums and I have been back reading years of talk & conversations in here and I am hooked. So I'm posting the picture of my favorite autograph and asking fellow members here.... (and sorry if this discussion has been talked about) haha

If you could only keep one autographed item you own, what would it be? I've (deeply) regretted parting with some, some of them I can part ways without any issue. But what's the one you'd never let go?

I got my Mickey Mantle ball from my Dad in 1987~
My dad had a friend, that was a dear friend of Mickey's & one day he came home with a full box of signed balls. I'm not sure exactly who they were all signed to, but it was a full box. I guess 12? My two brothers also got one, and I do recall two neighborhood friends getting one each also. That was my first introduction to Mickey Mantle's signature....

That's really cool, Corey. It not only has monetary value, but it has a really nice story behind it. I can understand why you'd never part with. It also represents a special memory of you and your dad, and that is priceless. There was a guy I worked with a long time ago. He was 19 at the time when his father passed away. I knew him well, so about six or seven of us from work went to his fathet's funeral for support. Well several months later, he was telling me how he and his father used to go to sports collectors shows when he was younger. One time in 1991, they went to a show in Arizona to get an autograph from Mickey Mantle. So he got the Mick's autograph on a baseball. It only cost his dad $10 for Mick's autograph in 1991!

Anyway, I told him I wished I had a Mantle signed ball. So he says he would sell to me for a fair price. I asked if he was positive he really wanted to sell it, and he said he was. So this was in 1999,and I said I could give him $150 for it. He accepted, and I got my first Mantle ball. But I still never understood how he could sell it. I would have thought he would want to keep it as a memory of his father. But I guess everyone's different.

Heck, I still have the Ronald Reagan signed notebook paper that my mom gave me as an 11yo in 1976 that she got in-person. She told me to save it because he might become President someday! Well my mom passed away in 2014, and I will never ever get rid of that Ronald Reagan autograph!

I have a nice Babe Ruth signed baseball that I would give away before I'd lose that Reagan autograph! But after Reagan, my most cherished piece would be my Ruth ball.
And yes this subject has come up before, but it's still fun to talk about!
Hey James! Love hearing your response! I'm not sure why some of us cherish the possessions & some not so much? Ahhh, a Ruth ball would be such a lovely addition to a collection! And I get it, keeping the Reagan over the Ruth! BUT ITS A RUTH! Never had one of those as my own.... perhaps some day one will find its way to me- (wishful thinking!) ;)
Yes, normally I would say Ruth for sure, but since it's my childhood memory from my mom, it would have to be the Reagan even though monetarily it's worth a lot less than the Ruth. But, of course, I know you can relate.
Your story is also cool because your father had a friend who was friends with Mickey Mantle...and that's how the ball came to be. Pretty awesome!

Hey Corey...I know a guy who can remove that personalization.

Hmmmmm.... think you could rather remove all my childhood, grubby fingerprints and dirt off of it instead? That I may be interested in!

What??? I thought those were Mantles!!!

I'd keep this:

That's a Killer Photo Eric! Can never go wrong with Ziggy!

I will tell you mine, oh wait Nevermind!

Clever!
