Is my Ronald Reagan Auto real??
I bought this letter from an easte sale. I feel that it is real but not sure. It has the water mark of the white house and seal of the white house. Please Help!!!

How can you tell this is autopen? On the list of examples of autopen its not even close to any of them, and the letter sounds personal.

take a look at this link, and scroll down to the TLS letter 1989. there is your signature. it is definitely an autopen. sorry.

In autopen is the ink consisent or does it fade in some spots?

the ink distribution can be different from one signature to another, as could be the pen pressure. but the letter formation is the same, spacing slant. if you see a signature where all the letters are the same, despite thickness and thinness of ink, it is an autopen.
