I think it's a very nice example from '76. It previously sold through Robert Saunders, but I can't recall for how much.

Are you going to frame it Paul? Great stuff. How did the hendrix go at auction?
Thanks guys.yes.definitly framing it.i see it framing real nice with lennon Nyc tee shirt rooftop photo.as for the hendrix.i passed on it.it went to high.almost 4k.
Go the nyc.

RR Auction raised their rates to 22.5% with no more cash discount (since they no longer accept credit cards).  I remember when auction houses charged 10%-15% and that was when items sold for far less than today.  Can you spell G-R-E-E-D-Y?

Actually if I pay with a Certified check,it is still 20%. They will give you that option.i take it every time.
Hi Bruce,I stand corrected.you were right about the percentage.i just got off the phone with sue at rr .i called them to talk about payment and they said what you said.as of the new year,no more 20% on any form of payment and no credit cards.22.5% across the board.cant believe how expensive it's gotten.

I think the high rates will limit the bidders. It is hard to justify paying the winning bid, 22.5% juice and usually very high shipping costs. I like rr just fine and have purchased from them in the past. The added expense has kept me from doing much bidding with them (or several other auction houses with similar fees) for several years.

Nice  purchase Paul.  I was also looking at it; - but I suspect most people who managed (which in itself is a miracle) to get the items they wanted yesterday are going to get nasty shock when the bill arrives    I only found out by accident re no ccards when I emailed sue re a separate issue and many people imo are going to be really stuck re payment this time.

On a plus note many dealers who buy in bulk and then put the stuff   up on ebay at even more inflated prices are probably not going to be able to do this so much because people do rely on credit cards; -

I know what you mean Michelle, they should have told everyone prior to bidding that c cards were no longer accepted.thats gonna freak people out.i sent them a certified check about an hour ago.no worries here.

My feelings exactly.  And you try getting out of a bid ; - it isn't easy; actually its impossible.  I was the only bidder on something, found out  that the shipping was nearly c $160  for over seas shipping for  a photo in a frame & I was told it was a contract by putting a bid down and I had to abide by it & quoted me all their rules (which are completely NON understandable).  I thought they would cancel the bid immediately in these circumstances but not at all.  To say I was relieved when someone out bid me was the understatement of the year!!!

You got lucky Michelle.live and learn right?
