It is hard to say with Lou. His signature is short and devoid of much to examine.

I would not personally buy this album unless the source was bulletproof. I can't see a reason for the stop and start in the last name.

That being said, it could be real. The first name looks possibly authentic but I wouldn't put my cash out for a maybe.

I'm aware it is certed but that is not enough for me in this case.

Thanks Chad, that Album has a JSA certification, and to be safer i asked Roger Epperson for his opinion and he means it's not good because of the "R".

i better leave it and keep on searching ...

You are welcome. I'm glad Roger agreed as well as Josh below.

I bought a Lou Reed from Michael Ragsdale (http://live.autographmagazine.com/profile/MichaelRagsdale). I bought it because it met the handwriting characteristics of his signature, I trusted the story and the source. It wasn't on something wonderful like this album but it is authentic and that is good enough for me.

I've gotten Reed a few times. First name looks good here, last name...bad. That doesn't mean it's not authentic, but it was just stated perfectly above -- since he usually did just a line (like the first name above)...i would NEVER buy a Reed signature from anybody

thanks Josh, could you show one of your Reed signatures - just to get an idea ...

same seller, same sharpie, JSA authenticatet - different signatures ....
