I am 99.9% sure I already know the answer.  But I am no expert.. sooo.  Fake right?

The story goes it came from an estate auction with lot's 80's & 90's cards along with signatures of Ted Williams, Joe DiMaggio & Mark McGwire.

You are 100% correct.  Terrible forgery

I agree with Mr Mike P

Thanks Tony!

Thanks Mike!

Again not an expert, but I really didn't have to look at it to know.  Just the story of where it came from and what else was being sold with it pretty much told me what I need to know. Thanks for your feedback!

not authentic

It wasn't Mickey Mantle, but the bat was signed by someone (in)famous - Greg Marino. For those that don't know, he was the main forger behind the Marino Family Forgery Ring that was busted by the FBI in Operation Bullpen.

Yes Scott...sorry...but this is true...this a "flip flop mafia" special from the operation bull pen ring of master forgers in the 90's...

Lucy for me, it's not my bat.  I was just trying to verify my hunch on the bat for a member on another sports mem. board.   I really appreciate all the feed back folks.
