McCartney encounter- unsuccessful

Saw Macca again today at his London office. Unfortunately just before he came out the heavens opened, and it started pouring with rain. I was the only person there, ready with a tour program to be signed. ' sorry, man' he said as he came out, trying to open his umbrella (with a bit of difficulty), before dashing into the waiting car. Disappointing but I can't complain as he's signed for me in the past a few times. These days one has to be quite lucky as he's more inclined to decline.

Maybe you would have had better luck if you had an umbrella open and waiting for him. :-)

...or if I had a child with me, or if I was female, or if there were a few more people. Instead he saw a 40 + year old man standing alone in the rain outside, getting wet ! 'A collector' he probably thought, even though I'm more a fan. I would also have found it easy to say, 'sorry man'.
