Anyone ever heard of Frank Garo as a document examiner for music autographs?  It is the only LOA on an item on Ebay and I have never heard of this person.

Frank caiazzo I heard off. Not Gazo sorry.

I have never heard of him, but here is his website: http://www.fpgaro.com/

Feel free to make your own opinion.

No auction house that I know uses him so what really is a LOA from him worth?  Not much.

If you do a search on Frank Garo on this forum, you'll see that the sentiment is pretty decidedly negative.  Probably better to ask about individual items.

Hi Donna are you seeing his loa on the Zeppelin album on ebay?

Yes Paul, I asked for it.

Came across an item a few weeks ago being sold by someone in Australia and it was a forgery with his certificate

Total fake Zeppelin album, and totally a fake or incompetent autograph examiner.Frank Garo
Hi bjarne, that's the one.i have a pretty pathetic story about this piece.a couple of days ago ,I was unfortunate enough to see this piece on eBay.i knew it was a pathetic blatant forgery I decided to play with the forger.i sent him a message on eBay telling him that I'm really interested In the piece and I would offer him 13,000.00 for it.he responded by telling me the best he would do is offer it to me for 15,000.00 .i couldn't believe he turned down 13k knowing that it's a fugazzi.anyway I then said to him that I would agree to 15k as long as you can show me a coa.i also then said at that price I would expect that you already have a coa .psa ,Jsa ,epperson, tracks etc....I knew at this point he would have to scramble and tell me something.after all he thought at this point he has the piece sold ,all he has to do is come up with a coa of some kind.he tells me that he doesn't have it in hand at the moment but he would dig it up and send it to me tomorrow.i then agreed for the next day.......
Long story short.the next day came which happened to be March 2nd,he sends me a message telling me to go to the ebay listing and the coa letter would be included in the pictures.i go on and notice this total bullcrap coa from this total bull crap authenticater Frank Garo.i laughed when I saw it.expecially if you notice the date on the coa.it was March the 2nd.the night before was March the 1st.another words the night before when I told him we had a deal as long as he came up with a coa ,he immediatly got in touch with this guy that resides clear across the other side of the country and some how showed him a picture of his crap and told this guy he needed a coa today based on his picture.the guy also graded it a mint 9 which is laughable.then he gets in touch with me thinking that I was going to buy it.he asked me if I saw the coa,i said yes..and then I said I'll think about it.so there is the story about that piece.i felt like playing with a forger like they do everyday to uneducated new collectors.
In closing ....IT FELT GOOD!!!!

Paul that is so funny because this guy emailed me telling me he had an offer of 13K and that's when I asked for the COA/LOA and he then emailed me the next day to go on EBAY and I would see the LOA.  He was playing this game with both of us.  Thanks for sharing this.  I almost fell for it until I saw the "Frank Garo."  I am so grateful for this website!!!

Donna ,that's so unbelievable.when I saw that you posted this,I knew what it was about.that was me with that fake 13k offer.the guy actually thought he was going to sell that garbage.i still can't belive he actually had the balls to counter my offer instead of just saying yes to it.a real greedy forger.lol
