Looking for an opinion on this Peter Sellers. The one thing that bothers me with it is he capital "S" in Sellers. I've never seen such a loopy example like this, his is more of a straight up and down type "S". Thanks in advance!

I agree, the loopy S is somewhat atypical and the S usually connects to the E. Also the large E following the P is not common. There is a lot of this signature and inscription that looks spot on. In my opinion this example has a chance of being authentic.
Thanks for the reply Robert! I see what you mean now about the large "e", and I could totally live with that, but that "S" though is driving me nuts!! I couldn't believe a forger would make such a perfect copy of pretty much everything else, yet make such an egregious error like that on the "S"?? Lol
This is the closest I could find, also with similar sentiment:

Thanks so much Robert for those examples! From all the ones I was able to find I thought he only ever signed with a very 'strict' up and down 'S' in Sellers, but from your examples he was also more 'loopy' as well (perhaps in his earlier years?). Even in that example dated Feb 1960 it shows the tiny loop at the top of the 'r' in Sellers, similar to my example. I'm more confident now that the one I posted is real! Thanks again!

No problem, there are similarities within the salutation especially the word 'wishes'

Sorry for reviving an older thread, but wanted to comment on this. I am a very novice collector but I do think you are right. The 'wishes' look very similar on many of the autographs. So either they are legit (or just the same forger). I do not own many autographs, only those important to me for some reason or another, but one I do own and hope is legit is from Peter Sellers.

As you can see, my autograph does also contain a 'loopy' S as original poster.
