PSA/DNA pre-certified?Is this legit?
I I have never heard of a pre certified certificate of authenticity. Do these even exist?please help me because I have no idea and I've never heard of a pre certified. Thank you

sometimes certain sellers refer to a PSA/DNA "quick opinion" as pre-certfied.

yes its legit if it has been submitted for a quick opinion. but that is not a guarantee of authenticity. some items have failed after quick opinion when sent to PSA for authentication. sometimes its difficult to form an accurate opinion from a photo.

Some may be legit, but from an investigation I have done the past few days, I am 100% certain scammers are using this "pre-cert" to sell cheap forgeries. One of my discussions I posted earlier is a seller using "PSA/DNA PRE CERTIFIED" in the auction titles and they are 100% forgeries.

This is not from ebay, but from a seller in Milwaukee. He said he bought this from a man a while ago.

Some of the large auction houses now use what is termed as PSA/DNA pre-certified authentication. What it means in essence is that PSA/DNA has passed the item and it is guaranteed to get a full LOA IF you submit it within 60 days of the end of the auction and PAY the full authentication fee.
Some auction houses will take care of it for the buyer and get the full LOA for you but you still have to pay the fee for it. They get better pricing from PSA/DNA and pass the savings on to the buyer.
Memory Lane is one auction house that uses this authentication for some normally lesser valued autographed items. Also, they are located only a few miles from the California PSA office so it is convenient for them to handle it for their clients.
If you do no submit it for the full LOA, you get absolutely nothing as an LOA. In the past, auction house LOAs were issued which were legitimate but did not picture the item nor have a certification sticker but it appears that some auction houses prefer to use this pre-certification system rather than actually issue auction LOAs.
The only items that are pre-certified come from auction houses but again you will not receive an actual certificate. The description of the item simply states that it has been pre-certified.
The PSA/DNA "Quick Opinion" is not guaranteed to pass full authentication but the pre-certified is because they have actually looked at the item in hand.

Scammers are using copies of these "pre-certs" to sell cheap forgeries. Folks it should always be about the SIGNATURE not the "COA", because these scammers will do ANYTHING to sell their junk.

Yes, this is a clear lie. The problem is that since there is no LOA issued with legitimate pre-certified auction items, anyone can state their items are pre-certified by PSA/DNA and obviously if the winning bidder submits it for full authentication it will come back as a forgery but they are counting on collectors buying it who will never submit it and just think they got a great deal.
Any one who has a clue about a Pujols or Puig autograph would never buy these obvious forgeries but budget minded collectors who know nothing about autographs will buy them.
You are correct, they have come up with a new scheme to sell their forgeries and it will work for a while until PSA/DNA is contacted and puts an end to it.
