Ronald Reagan- R R Auction Vintage Hollywood- Saul Goodman Collection

Calling all Ronald Reagan Autograph Experts!!!!!!

R.R Auction has a Ronald Reagan Autographed SP in its Vintage Hollywood Collection.

The inscription and signature on that photo, needs a bit of examination by members of our autograph community who collect Reagan.

I would be interested in hearing thoughts on its provenance and authenticity........

Bob Keeshan was the original Clarabell in 1947 but in 1955 he became Capt. Kangaroo, so it wasn't him in that last show.

Lew Anderson would have been the last one to play the role although I still thought it might have been Keeshan in a cameo since it was the last show. It's doubtfull though especially where it was over a salary dispute that led to the separation. I thought it was 1952 when he left but 1955 sounds about right for his next gig.

Hold it Bill...you bet $1,000 the motion picture lot was reserved. In all fairness, don't you owe Bill the $1,000 if that's true?

It is true, BTW. It sold to a well-known dealer west of the Mississippi. I'll send you his name if you promise not to release it before the press release comes out next week.

The bet was whether it was reserved, chum. Against their "minimum bid" of...what was it? $1.00?

What press release? Whose press release? Buyers'? Sellers'?

WTF. What kind of a site is this? Is this an infomercial?

Do you think they keep the document together or turn them into cut signatures associated with pictures. For example the Marx Brothers...

I worked for Todd Axelrod at Gallery of History for 9 1/2 years. I could be wrong, but I believe each document will be sold as is, with both signatures. Some may be framed in Gallery of History Style.

Hopefully you are right as it seems to be an injustice with some of the "cut signatures" that are offered as they ruin the items from which they came.
