Stevie Ray Vaughan Autograph

Brand new to this great site. I've acquired many autographs over the years through friends, and eBay. This is one of my favorites...sure hope it's real...what do you guys think? I purchased the gold record display on ebay, it had a facsimile of the LP with it, I put the signed LP in the display....Thanks in advance

Mike, it doesn't seem right to me. I have an album he signed for me in person back in the 80s when I had a record store. Doesn't look even close to the album I have. Email me and I will send a pic of it to you.

I am NOt sure that is a fake..I got Stevie in person in 1989 at letterman..and this isnt far off....it is the first name STEVIE that is a little off.. Not sure.

in my expert opinion this SRV autograph is not authentic. It is a common forgery that is seen all over Ebay and galleries all over the country. There are many things wrong with it but the easiest thing for me to show is the date, it's much too large and in the wrong spot. The numbers are not the correct shape either. I got his autograph at least 40 times in the last 2 years of his life so I have many exemplars to compare with. He was by far my favorite guitarist.
