I would like to add I am leaning toward secretarial but it's not clear cut to me.

It certainly does. Appreciate your response, pjc!

HFS has a lot of great documents but it also has many known secretarial versions of Gleason, Griffith, Curtis, Heston etc.   So I would not place too much comfort on Mr. A. having one on his site.  I do not know Wayne well enough to comment. I would be concerned about it being secretarial.  Obviously it would be a later signature so maybe it evolved.  Just me but I think I would be looking for a more vintage autograph.

I checked with a well known vintage Hollywood expert and it's a secretarial signature for sure. Appreciate your input, Scott.

Other opinions still welcome.

After much thought and researching I decided to go ahead and purchase this John Wayne signed photo. Would still love some input. Was I right to go ahead or should I have run away?

Was it the same pic as the history for sale?

Same picture. Way less in price!!!!!

Here is the full signed picture.

Good enjoy it. They must sell them, I dont know how.

I have purchased a number of excellent vintage Hollywood recently at incredible low prices. Hope this is not of sign of things to come. I just love the double weight photos of the era.
