Thanks for showing it Joe nice picture. Yes the old ones feel and look so different. Yes I hope the prices stay high. Think  I will sell my lot at some time. As they are still sitting under the desk in envelopes. So the higher the better.

Bob Shinn will know, Joe. I  am heading out the door - it looks wrong to me but I only glanced. HD has secretarials in a few areas FWIW.

Calling All John Wayne Experts 2010 Thread

Thanks, Eric. I will be studying this one further. Had to make a decision. It doesn't look like his usual secretarial although it is not textbook authentic either. I've come to the thought it has a better chance of being genuine than not. Hopefully we will get some others chiming in.

Requesting more opinions. Anyone familiar with John Wayne?

It appears by initial thoughts of this being a secretarial was correct. Sometimes I overthink things!

Thanks for letting us know Joe - I saw that as the likely outcome as well.

At least it wasn't the typical secretarial often seen. The "o" in John is close to his although the "ne" in Wayne was virtually on the same level which was not a good sign. I haven't studied Wayne that much over the years. Learning curve exercise.

This is a similar John Wayne signature to the photo but much more in line with Wayne's signature. Do you all agree with this assessment?
