What do people think of this Paul?

Item description:

"A POEM FOR BUDDY" was published in 1997 to coincide with Paul's "Write A Poem For Buddy" celebrations. The book features a foreword by Paul himself.

At this time my wife Edited "The Beat Goes On" music fanzine which Paul subscribed to. She was invited to attend a lunchtime party in Soho in London at which the best poems were announced and recited.

Paul along with members of his family and a number of well known music celebrities were present.

Paul included one of my own poems in the book and we managed to "scrounge" three review copies which my wife took to with her to the London event and which she asked Paul to sign. He duly signed all three on the page where my poem appears.

I should point out that one so-called expert has judged that the signature in this case is not authentic which is strange as my wife was standing just two feet away when Paul signed it! My wife admitted that by that time Paul was in "party mood" and that he rested the book on his right arm when signing it standing up. This may account for any "doubt".

I am only too happy to offer a signed letter confirming these facts to a successful buyer and the price reflects any possible controversy that may arise in future

This is a genuine autograph by Paul McCartney.

I hate to say it, but the signature looks crudely signed to me, and all we can really go on is the autograph, not the story behind it. There's no flow, smoothness or naturalness to it, and I've never seen Paul sign his Y like that.

What about the other two signatures?

It does not look like Paul's usual smooth flow signature either.

Can't see anyone authenticating this. It's been signed so slowly and simply does not look right. I agree weird "Y" but also weird "L", weird "C", weird everything
