I almost pooped my pants at this hilarious set of forgeries listed by eBay seller gfdwarf

One of the worst auctions I've ever seen. "guaranteed to be genuine and authenticate" ROFL. And it looks like the moron even put his name/address. You can't make this stuff up folks!

Dan,

Just end the listing. Contact the buyers (im sure they can find something else in their price range hahahahahah) and just let them know you do not believe these items to be authentic and you will not risk your name or reputation as well as sell them an item that is not real.

Then burn that stuff.

Thats about as easy as that.

Hi Dan, welcome and fair play to front up. The first thing you should do is remove the item from eBay and destroy it. The item is awful and so far off being real.

The item has been removed from eBay upon your advice and the bids cancelled. Chalk it up to experience I guess. Luckily i did not offer any extra value for this item, it was a throw in by the seller I bought from.

Thanks for the help.

Would it be too much to ask to remove my seller name from this blog topic? It bums me out to have my name dragged through the mud on such a matter and I am trying to do the right thing here. I have worked hard for my rating...

Thanks,
Dan
I also have a 60s Yankees auto ball that I have much more trust in listed right now. It also has Mantle and Maris, amongst many others. Unfortunately many of the sigs are somewhat faded. This was from a different source that I trust and has been handed down through generations in their family. But I still listed it with a clear no authentication statement.

Hope I did that one right. You will be thankful to know that is my only other auto item.

Good luck all and thanks for helping me nip the other one in the bud.

Dan

I took a glance at the ball you have listed.  there are definitely some good signatures on the ball, but as is the case with most Yankee team balls, the Mantle is a clubhouse signature. It was not signed by Mickey.  I cannot really see the Maris very well to make a determination but from what I can see, it could also be a clubhouse.  But again, it is really difficult to see the Maris.  If you can take a better photo and post it here, I can tell you for sure if the Maris is real.
