Yasiel Puig Autograph Authentic Exemplars

Ever since this rookie phenom broke into the league his autographs/cards have been a hot product. As of now I am the only person I know of who has studied Puig's autograph extensively around here so I felt the need to share some exemplars. I have exposed tons of Puig forgeries on this site, and will continue to do so. PSA/DNA listed Puig in their "Top 10 Most Forged Autographs" of 2013. IMHO about 15%-20% of Puig "autographs" on eBay at any given time are truly authentic.

In order to help, I am sharing some authentic exemplars, as well as some forgeries to help train your eyes.

*NOTE: Towards the end of his rookie season, Puig started signing the side-panel WAY MORE often than the sweet spot. (Forgers have taken note of this as well)

Now I will share some FORGERY examples. Please note, I have seen forgeries certified by PSA/DNA as well as JSA. With Puig being such a new superstar, even the big authenticators are going to make their mistakes so be very careful. There are TONS of forgeries certified by Global Authentics.

I will try and keep this updated as much as I can. Be very careful when purchasing a Yasiel Puig autograph. Remember, "If it seems too good to be true, it probably is." Also remember that a "COA" is just a piece of paper, and any seller not mentioning the COA is probably a scammer.

Another counterfeit jersey with an awful forgery on it, slapped with a Global Authentics sticker, and being sold by a power seller on eBay. IMAGINE THAT. This junk is listed by eBay seller automvp

Not only are you getting a forgery, you are also getting a FAKE JERSEY. It is sickening what eBay allows these sellers to get away with, as well as allowing GA "COAs"

Here is a 100% authentic 2015 Yasiel Puig signature on a weird spot. I've seen some weird angles this spring from Puig. His "go to" spot is the side panel, but I've seen some like this if the person is using the rubber "ball protector" when they hand it to him:

Here is just a laughable "home made" forgery listed by eBay seller candbautographes who says all of their autographs are "obtained TTM or at training camp". Not this one. This was obtained in the kitchen, scribbling on a card:

Here is a 100% authentic Yasiel Puig ball for $65 obo (a little smeared). You may be able to clean it up a little with an eraser, but still a great piece for the price.

Here is an example of a "kitchen forgery" listed by eBay seller kathyscards33 these are sellers who scribble on cheap base cards, make up a story, and try to scam people on eBay for profit.

This is an awful forgery, nowhere close. Also take a look at the "start/stop" points...easy tell-tale signs of a horrible forgery. eBay seller kathyscards33 says this was obtained TTM... Yasiel has never signed TTM, thus her "story" is a complete lie. BUT, if you buy this crap for $250, she will throw in a free .10 base card with it!!! LOL. Very low IQ some of these people...
