Washington's Acts of Congress sells for $8.7 million
On June 22, I witnessed the auction of a book called the Acts of Congress... which George Washington owned while President. Selling for $8.7 million, it went in about five minutes.
In this album are images marking my presence at it -- of an autographed press release (by the winning bidder), a schedule noting the auction, and a few pictures.
It was interesting seeing the 1% in action... while the rest of us watched.
