Why do you collect?

I love being able to connect with history, as well as holding something in my hand from someone that I will never meet.

What is your favorite autograph in your collection?

A letter that Jackie Gleason wrote to me the day before he died (in June, 1987). I was only 13 years old and had heard that he was pretty sick. So I bought him a get well card and sent it to him. He died right after that and a few days later I received a small note from him thanking me for sending the card and telling me how much he loved it. It was dated (literally) the day before he died.
