I sent a book to Jimmy Carter to sign years ago and got it back with a bookplate signature. It looked too perfect to me so I thought it was an autopen and gave it to my cousin. Has Carter been known to use an autopen for bookplates?

I've seen Chester Arthur land grants on eBay with signatures that sure as heck look like his signature. Are there any known Arthur's that are authentic?

- I have the following (that I can remember and that I think are authentic) George W.Bush, Gerald Ford, Katharine Harris, Lindsey Graham, Pat Robertson, Bob Dole, Eugene McCarthy, Steve Forbes, plus some baseball players and baptist preachers.

- Because I am a history buff and political junkie and it's a chance to have a little bit of history.
