Why do you collect?

From the 1950s I was raised as a "squirrel" ... which in our family meant we tend to "save our nuts." My early focus was coins, currency and exonumia. My interest in autographs came indirectly via currency and directly from being given my father's widely varied acquisitions accrued from the 1960s to the mid-1970s when he was the only listed Autograph Dealer in Miami's Yellow Pages.
