"Is it just me, but...I HAVE NEVER HAD GOOD LUCK WITH SILVER PAINT PENS OR SHARPIES!!! I hate them. That being said, leave it. It's a fun story to tell, and believe it or not, it adds authenticity to the piece (what forger would do that? see my…"

"I could not agree more, Eric. I would leave it alone as well. More is more, and more is better. I like dedications as well, particularly in books. Inscriptions/dedications bring the autograph to life for me...gives it personality. If I like a…"

"Thanks for all the advice. It's not a very glossy poster, so I think I'll have to leave it on. I'm sure I'll only cause damage to it trying to remove it."

Mike T replied to chris boudreau's discussion Did Stan Lee butcher my poster or is it salvageable?
"If it has a glossy or luster finish you can get it off pretty easily like Pete said. If not, you can have a restoration place like Studio C take it off. Will probably run $150-200."

"Hello, I would want it off. Like Pete says if the poster is glossy it can come off. It wont if the poster is not. In person graphers have always done this with stars that always personalize (Frank Oz). I would practice on junk posters first or get…"

"I agree with Eric and Mike.  I would leave it as is myself.  And you do have a story behind it - which makes it more interesting (to me any way)"

"Hello, I am very much in favor of leaving everything alone. We are stewards...etc. I was laughed at for saying that in a coin group years ago. To remove something...to alter...writing...remove means what again? I may be in the minority, loving…"
