Did You Purchase an Item from Anthony Nurse or Charity Fundraising Packages? Please Let me Know...

I saw items at an auction recently that I believe to be forgeries. I'm in the process of trying to figure out if they are real or not, and would like to hear from others on experiences they've had with Anthony Nurse or his company -- Charity Fundraising Packages.

I remember being at a party 15 years ago, and somebody had a signed "Hotel California" album by the Eagles. It was fake, and I knew it was. I asked the guy how he acquired it. He told me an auction for his sons school. I didn't have the heart to tell him.

So, when I saw another fake Hotel California album at this auction, it made me cringe.

Anyway...please contact me if you purchased a forgery or ANYTHING from this company -- and I'll see if Steve and Roger can help me authenticate these items, and we'll move into the next steps involved (if, in fact, they are forged items).

It's bad enough if forged items are sold to unsuspecting people, but to do it in the name of a charity is just despicable.

(and a website that shows generic pictures of bands signing for 50 fans doesn't prove anything...neither does a photo of Anthony Nurse standing by Rod Stewart at a book signing).

At book signings, they don't let you bring albums, cds, or guitars. They sign THE BOOK ONLY. And having a photo taking with somebody, doesn't make any autographed item you sell "authentic." Most people don't realize that.

Anyway....contact me at: joshboard87@gmail.com

Thank you!

THIS JUST IN!  I was just sent this email. Does anybody know about this company or what their deal is?

The email: Hey Josh, check these guys out memorabiliaforcharities.com (Cherry Hill, NJ). I have never heard of Scott or Michael Bornfreund but this looks like a Nurse operation to me. Even the way their items are framed and matted, the types of items and selection of celebrities/athletes etc...seem all too familiar. The facebook page has more closeup photos.

Two links to look at:  (giving the whois online, and then photos of the owners? - do they look familiar?)

Here are there signed guitars.  All poor forgeries:

Yep, it's Anthony Nurse again.  I suggest members of this site put on their own charity auctions, get a bunch of fake music / sports items -- and then let Nurse and his cronies twist in the wind when nothing sells because they are all forgeries.  At least they will be out the cost of the fake guitars, etc, and shipping.

Just got a message from somebody else that bought a fake autographed guitar from The Rolling Stones -- courtesy of Anthony and his Charity Auction Packages BS. That's cool. He'll get his money back, and they'll be stuck with a guitar that has bogus signatures they won't be able to sell. Since everybody Googles now, they'll come across this website and realize they've been duped.

The past few weeks, I've gotten numerous complaints from people that have purchased items from these thieves. I'll post the pictures here. This is the latest. A country guitar "signed" by 15 artists:

This was an email I received recently from somebody else:

Hey Josh,
After seeing one of Charity Fundraising's Star Trek pieces on Pawn Stars be determined to be fake I started to do some research and found your article from July 29, 2013.
I have some serious concerns as to the authenticity of 2 Bruce Springsteen pieces I acquired from him.
To make matters worse I was the person responsible for securing items from him for a former charity I worked at.  We also traded some autographs of the charity's founder for reduced pricing.
Please let me know the best course of action in your experience of other people you have helped.

Both Springsteen items are fakes (as are nearly ALL items from Anthony Nurse).

http://www.charityfundraisingexperts.com/ is a website that is another alias of Anthony Nurse.  Not sure if Charity Fundraising Experts was mentioned here or not.  Also attached is a scan of the COA they are now using

If you look up the ph # for the Charity Fund Raising Experts listed on this page:  http://www.charityfundraisingexperts.com/our-company/  you'll find a post on their facebook linking Anthony directly to it, as a customer gave him a pat on the back.  (Thanks Michael Kasmer.... good find, if it hasn't been listed before.... there's been so many I can't keep track anymore. )
