BACK TO THE FUTURE CAST AND CREW Where and when?

I've been wanting to get my three sons into the hobby, and I think their favorite movie trilogy is a worthy starting point.  I see Christopher Lloyd does a lot of appearances lately.  What about the rest?  Is Crispin Glover a good signer?  I've seen a few of his on ebay, but it seems like his would be fairly easy to forge.  What about Michael J. Fox?  I've never heard of him doing signings, but his signature appears often.  presspasscollectibles on ebay has a beautiful 8x10 for sale, and it seems a bit high, but their reputation is possibly worth the price for me.  I'd appreciate any comments, pointers or basic advice on this subject.  There is going to be a big 30th anniversary event in California in 2015 that I'm strongly considering attending.

Fox has been a pretty good signer on the streets from what I've heard.  Crispin will sign some items as his film showings.  I believe that Thomas Wilson generally refuses to sign BTTF items at his comedy shows (there are exceptions sometimes, but he may be one of the tougher ones).  James Tolkan (Strickland), Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson, Claudia Wells and several others have been known to make appearances at conventions and autograph shows, as do many of the other character actors.  Wells usually has "Save the Clock Tower" brochures, that she'll sign on the back and include her phone # and an "I love you!" inscription.

That's awesome, thanks.  It's cool that Claudia Wells would go to all that.  I think it's important for celebrities to always bear in mind why people love them in the first place, and not be negative about it.

Thomas Wilson will NOT sign any BTTF items at all any more and this is speaking from experience as recently as a few months ago. I have had friends offer him 100.00 to sign one BTTF poster and he will not do it. Get him to sign Ghost Whisperer, Larry Cable Guy "Health Inspector" movie stuff, or the recently release Sandra Bullock "The Heat" movie stuff and he will sign all day but not BTTF material. He was in Orlando not too long ago and a guy in front of me in line had a BTTF DVD and he would not sign it.  Everyone else I believe from the movie doesn't have problems with it and I believe Wilsons problems stems from royalties.

The guy in front of me for Christopher Lloyd at Wizard World Chicago a couple years ago had a signature on his BTTF laserdisk I didn't recognize.  He said, "It's Biff."  I told him I thought he didn't sign BTTF stuff.  He smirked a bit and shrugged and said, "Yeah . . . he's my cousin."

So, there IS a way ;)

Yes there is always a way to get a celebrity to sign an autograph and one surefire way is hold a loaded gun to their head that works 99% of the time. I'm sure if you approached Tom Wilson that way he'd sign your photo.

Michael J Fox is a very nice man and signs regularly while shooting on location in Manhattan. Christopher Lloyd is still doing shows and will appear at Boston Supermegafest this month.

Am glad I got this from Tom Wilson several years ago if he is not signing BTTF items.
