Unfortunately to me the signature appears consistent with a known forgery style.

In my opinion, the autograph looks like what's commonly called a Southern California forgery. I don't think the drawing looks anything like Lennon's work either, unfortunately.

Hi Steve, original is shown, full. I "cropped" to match the forgery and darkened the background (I left out a bit at left for copyright). Original on right. A common (idiot forger) "Honeymoon" 1969 litho. The fake is inset (left). "1969" seems all this "genius" got right.

Aside from the crazy spacing between the two "N"s, and the sloppy sketching: noting the "7" in 75. Most of the dated autos I've seen with strong origins do not have the slash through the "7", except for maybe one or two I've noticed with a slash touching the vertical part, but not centered through the vertical part of the "7" as it is here.

Anyone here ever study John's style of writing numbers?

No Steve, the full image is the 1969 litho by Lennon "Honeymoon" - the forgery is inserted (left). The original is "white". E
