I've never seen a circle over the "i" in the 80's. But who knows!!! In any case, I wouldn't buy it...

Not good
Thanks for your opinion...I admit it's a tricky one.
Giancarlo Calo told me it's genuine.
Giancarlo is a good friend of mine, and someone with a very good trained eye. I've never seen an 80s Fred with a circle over the eye. But I trust him. If he says it's good, it's probably good.hos collection is massive.
Yes, the more I study Fred, the less I see the circle over the I in his 80s examples, which is why I said no here. But Giancarlo is a better eye then me- I trust him.
I don't think Epperson or Brandes would authenticate this one. I wouldn't do it. Circle over the i, space between the i and the e of FreddI E... Some things never seen before (by me) on a hot space. Perhaps Freddie was drunk or dr...... and that could explain his return to the 70's lol

Here is another one (real without a doubt imo) with a space between the "i" and the "e" of Freddie.

Shows that he did that from time to time.

Run for the hills, and leave this signature far behind.

Here is a quote from Brian May that he once told me the night of Rockline on February 4, 1991, in Universal City: "We as a band were hardly ever asked for our autographs while in the 1970's and probably signed very few. Much less than you might think. Freddie signed the least of all of us".

Please use these words of Brian to be very cautious with any Freddie Signatures...............

Genuine signatures have been signed by all 4 members of the band from day 1 until 1991. Genuine pieces are still in circulation. I've seen many a video of Freddie mobbed by fans to sign pieces. I spoke with his last boyfriend Jim Hutton back in the 90s, who said he was with Freddie everyday- and he'd get stopped for an autograph at least once a day if he left the house. His last PA Peter Freestone said the same. Brian wasn't with Freddie every single day like they were. There aren't as many 70s pieces out there- and that could be what Brian meant. In the 70s, queen were recording and touring and going RIGHT back to recording all over again. They spent most of their time together then. In the 80s? Not so much. They all went their separate ways a few times in the 80s. They never broke up- but they went without seeing each other for months on end.
Matter of fact- during the video recording for 'I Was Born To Love You', one of the 2 dancers on the platform with Freddie fell off and smashed her head against a piece of equipment and split her head open. She was rushed to a local hospital- Freddie and his entourage went as well. He spent most if his time in the waiting room signing autographs for nurses and people passing by. That's a story told by his PA, his last boyfriend and a few others who attended that day. Freddie signed a good amount of signatures in the 1980s.

In fact, he used to sign even in 1991. Stephen has got one, we've all seen it... He used to have breakfast/lunch in a restaurant while he was making the Innuendo videos; he wasn't confined yet, and although it was difficult for someone to approach him, one of his personal assistants could do fans a favour and give him a paper to sign on it for that fan. I've got one of those "faraway" autographs of Best Wishes from 1991.

So, If he did so in 1991, in the 1980s, as you say, he could have signed hundreds of signatures.
