I recently purchased John Fogerty's 1963 El Camino Yearbook. I have already forwarded this to Roger Epperson but he refunded my money because he is not familiar with such a young signature of John Fogerty's. Any opinions on this item, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
That's interesting. I'd have to think it's probably real, but if somebody did forge -- it's brilliant. Take a yearbook he was in and do it, where it would seem believable.
Here's why I think it's real. If somebody was going to forge a fake signature, they wouldn't inscribe and write more in his hand. They would simply do the signature near his photo, and add a few other "fake" signatures near other photos (to show the guy got people to sign also on pages with their photos). And, the forgery would look more like the signatures we're familiar with.
And since Fogerty is one of the worst signers in rock history -- this is a great score.
