Who is left in the industry of reliable reputation to complete authentications of Beatle-related autographs?

Beatlesfan64..."PSA/DNA says 'likely not genuine'." So you got a PSA/DNA Quick Opinion? Just for your information, PSA/DNA Quick Opinion says likely not genuine on very genuine stuff all the time. PSA's QO service sucks quite frankly...just so you know.

Is this supposed to be a late 60's signature? I see that it sold on eBay for $620. The "H" looks odd, as does the way in which the signature trails off after the first "N". It has a bit of a slow and deliberate appearance to it.

That says a Heritage Auction COA? It doesn't say a REAL coa...Was this a quick opinion from Roger? What did the original heritage auction listing sell for, and was there any provenance?

Heritage....? My experiences are very bad. Supported this company many years until  several Beatles fakes offered and sold and my emails were blocked. It was a shame!

frank is my number 1 guy

I'm a first generation fan since I was a kid in '64....been a serious collector for 32 years...(autographs..handwritten items...personal items...worn clothing...etc). To me....Frank is the #1 guy as well. I've dealt with him since the 1990's. I hung out with him a few times over the years...lots of my stuff comes from Frank...I always liked him...and he always answered all of my questions. I learned a lot from Frank.

Item was purchased post-Heritage auction and eBay sale was cancelled because I questioned the authenticity (after PSA/DNA and PAAS quick reviews were done noting "not likely genuine") - hence the disconnect.  (of note, the first buyer bailed out of the sale)

The item came with a LOA from Epperson, not quick opinion.  I do not have a copy of same.  But you are all seeing the same autograph I am, and some are saying it looks ok, others questioning the flow of the signature, etc.

The comments in this thread confirm a few things for me:

1) There is no consensus on who the best Beatle authenticators are (except maybe Frank).

2) None of you really agree on the authenticity of this Lennon autograph. I am certain that if there was another autograph of Lennon shown here that had a Frank C. LOA with it - but you didn't know it - you would all be questioning that one as well.

3) Some people in this thread have recommended Epperson for a LOA - yet there are virtually no Beatles autographs listed for sale on eBay with his LOAs as an authenticating validation.  I find that bizarre.  Why is that?

The vast majority of Beatles-related signatures for sale on eBay have the PSA/DNA authentication. That is not a disputable fact.  Are these all garbage?   Since Frank no longer authenticates for the public (as noted many times in this forum), there has to be an alternative.

While I very much appreciate the feedback and critique here in this forum, the authenticity of the autograph referenced here still remains in question.  It is unimaginable that only one or two people on this planet have the ability to authenticate a Beatles autograph, at least based on this discussion.

I just read this comment, Beatlesfan64. What evidence do you have that this has a Roger Epperson LOA?

I saw the Epperson LOA. It was on his letterhead.
In person? Sent a picture?
Is this the listing you purchased?

There is no Epperson LOA mentioned, there was positive feedback left for it however to the seller.
Positive feedback left on December 6th.
