I guess you're right, when I think of it. NASA did offer their red serial number glossies. They're not nearly as common as lithos and typically have a lot higher value.

Official NASA glossy photographs were typically used for media press kits. They were produced in much lower quantity than official NASA lithographs, which were used for mass distribution.

In any case, both are more desirable than reproduction photographs.

Thanks for the explanation, Steve. I knew the glossies were far less common, but never knew of their origin. Is there such thing as a green serial number NASA glossy? I thought I had heard of such a thing recently. If so, what's the difference between that and a red serial number glossy?

I am not sure if I have ever seen a green serial number. If they exist, they must be very rare.

Ah, got it. I'd been looking for a Fisher autograph on and off since prior to her untimely passing. A signed photo of her in her "Slave Leia" outfit was near the top of my "want" list. Somehow, I suspect I'm not the only one with that on my short list.

If it's a decent price, I'd buy it, if I was you.
