hi guys i am new to the hobby and just joined the website as well. i am strictly a sports autograph collector and dont really like spending too much money to actually get the autograph. i will spend money to get the product i want signed but im not big into the shows and all that. anyways i just got a few quick basic questions for the expierenced guys out there. so here we go!!

1. where can i get go to print up 8x10 and 16x20 photos that i might find on the internet. i have several photos i found online that i want to get signed by local players but my printer is terrible. i want to go to a place with a disc full of pics and pay to get them profesionally printed. i have tried walmart before but they called me 20 minutes later and said they couldnt print my pics because they were worried about copyright stuff. is there a website or has anyone had luck going to a certain chain retailer to get photos printed up??

2. how succesful is sending things to athletes?? should i send stuff to the team or should i check out the players own personal website first and see what they say?? i have contacted several nba teams about sending stuff to get autographed and they always reply back that they cannot get autographs only donate them for charity auctions etc. is it best to try to contact the player directly threw their personal website??

thats about it for right now. im sure i will run across a problem in the future and i will be coming back here for help. thank you guys for your help.

Try FedEx Kinko's or look in the yellow pages for photo reproduction.  Also try going to a local celebrity golf tournament to see if there are any current or retired NBA players golfing.  They usually sign for free after they are done golfing.  I got Jack Marin's autograph at the Cox Celebrity Championship Golf Tournament in Rancho Santa Fe, CA.  If you don't mind spending the dough, go to www.americaniconautographs.com to see when they are having their next NBA signings.
