Hi - This item comes from the collection of "Uncle Eric", owner of one of the largest in-person autograph collections in Europe (more info here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erkki_Rapo ).

He collected thousands of autographs - especially musicians & bands in Finland but also abroad in England and in Sweden. He met The Beatles in 1966 and The Doors in 1968. He got basically everybody in his collection from The Queen to The Rolling Stones.

Michael Jackson had his first and only concert in Helsinki at the Olympic Stadium in August 24, 1997. It was impossible to get an in-person signature while he was driven directly from the hotel carage to the Olympic Stadium back stage and he did not walk freely anywhere.

Uncle Eric was a legend and everybody in the hotels and venues knew him. He got most of the autographs in his collection in-person but sometimes he got help from the promoters and personnel in the venues and the hotels.

This single by The Jacksons (Art of Madness / Keep Her, 1989) was given to Uncle Eric by the personnel of the Olympic Stadium after the concert. It is to my best knowledge signed by Michael Jackson and as far as I can decipher it says: "Eric, Michael Jackson". The capital letter writing in back marker says in Finnish: "To Eric as a memory - Personnel of the Stadium". This was in deed got from the backstage of the Olympic Stadium concert and delivered to Uncle Eric after the show.

I bought most of the items from Uncle Eric's collection in 2005 at an auction here in Helsinki after his death. I'm now about to sell this and many other valuable items to anybody interested on them.

I honestly can't see many collectors actually wanting this because its a bit of a mess.   If signed by MJ, the first word looks like Love (the 2nd loop is seen of the L, but not much else).

I actually don't even know why MJ would sign this 45" - hes not on either song.

You're right - it must be "Love" and not "Eric". You're also right that this is quite a mess - Why on earth did the Stadium folks write their message on the same side with the autograph. They could have written it on the other side as well.
