The attached picture has been in our family since 1964.  It recently came to me to sell for the family.  The first question is whether the signatures are real?  The picture itself is well known.  Here is the brief provenance, I can provide more details if needed.

 Beatles.jpg

  • My family owned the number one music radio station is Boston in the sixties
  • The Beatles came to the station for a promotional visit on their first trip to the US
  • The picture hung in the radio station until 1980 when the station was sold
  • My father had the picture until his passing in 2001
  • The picture has been with family members.

Please let me know if you have any info on the picture and if you think the signatures are original.  Our goal is to sell it if it is authentic.

I've seen these signatures before and unfortunately they aren't real. I believe they were stamped onto the photo.

Here is one that can be seen over on Beatlebay. Signed on February 18th, 1964 down in Miami with Caiazzo loa.

I agree with Ballroom, I believe these are stamped signatures.

Thank you all for your reply.  I agree that it seems to be stamped.  However what I can not understand is why there are not others anywhere that I can find?  I can find the picture, but not with the signatures.  If it was a promotional item, I would think there would be 1000,s.  JW

There's currently a set of these signatures on eBay, but they're on the back of an LP.
