was thinking more of individual hand signed and addressed invitations to people who pr companies etc wrote to inviting them to rowling's signings as the holograms have been unfortunately  copied.  very witty observation re D Radcliffe , Gregory S, made me laugh

That would be a help.  Hopefully any interested parties know what to look for when they have it in their hands. (as likely myself, you and Peter would)

Smoke alarm is chirping - off to hunt it down for new batteries.

I've got a certificate of authenticity for it

Who did you go through?  Did you have to send it in?  PSA charges at least $75 for JKR.

Just curious.  Thanks!

I sent it to Garry King at Autographica
I'm new to this but seems the only 'recognised' autograph people professionally are all in the US and comprise of three companies

JSA
PSA/DNA
Beckett

The guy who does Pawn Stars on Discovery channel used to be at PSA then moved to Beckett where I'm getting my auto sent next month

Not to hijack Jennifer's topic, her signature I feel to be 100% real, but I am to the point where I must research any autograph, even if it has been through the more respected services. (and I'm sure many here feel the same)

I'll read up on Garry/Autographica - I believe they are your biggest authenticator on your side of the world?

Hijack away. Your hijacking means I'm learning. :-)
So next question is where do I sell it? No idea with these things and you've been such a helpful bunch

Simple answer... Ebay.  I'm not up on the other social platforms, but I do know Ebay to be the obvious choice. (they take around 10% of total and Paypal gets an additional 3%)

Hopefully someone here might jump at the chance.

Best of luck, Greg

Jennifer, i'd send it to Beckett authentication in the US and get a LOA letter of authenticity - then..Ebay it..you will get loads more.

You seem to be a relatively new collector Terry. My best advice is to research and do your best to learn the signatures you are interested in collecting. Study and seek advice from experienced collectors who will gladly help. If you put blind faith in these TPA's you will find yourself with bad signatures much faster then you know.

Pawn Stars a horrible show to learn autographs. All those autographs are staged fake sales and the authenticator no matter which guy and magnifying glass shows up. They know the origin of those items long before the tape starts rolling. Don't be fooled by the hi-tech looking IPAD and the stupid gaudy skull ring that phony wears.
