This is obviously the Southern California forger getting his items now authenticated by Beckett! Seeing as these guys used to work at PSA/DNA, I think its probably a risk to trust either source without a 3rd party from one of the experts that we all know!

If this was actually a missed mistake. I'm betting it was leniency for a high volume dealer. All these bad ones I see were authenticated and signed off by Brian Sobrero but don't let Steve Grad fool anyone he knows this is happening.
I want to believe they are just overly trusting of certain individuals based on misconception and trust...As bad as that sounds...It beats purposely stickering items they may doubt or know aren't legitimate and turning a blind eye for profit.

In any case certification is big business and there are only a few companies to choose to trust (if you choose to trust) the general public will believe its good now because of that sticker. Sad.

Third party companies should never take the word of any company or individual as proof unless they actually witnessed the signing in person.

They are not providing what they are being paid to do. And, in the long run, will tarnish their reputation to the point of destruction.

This hobby is in a real mess and it's getting worse.

Ricks correct, these companies are just trying to cash in on each other, while another is trying to get in on the market to do the same thing.
They all are fighting over the high volume dealers and leniency in authenticating is the only way they will win these deals. Press pass being an example. The collectors are the ones losing in all this.

I still can't believe PSA has allowed those two greedy fools to steal their client base so easily
Your right, the whole thing is starting to become a joke. They all want a piece of the pie.
Vip autos is the poster boy for all of them.

Agreed. Iconic auctions is also guilty. While they sell some authentic items, every single item from the new "feb 64" forger has been sold by them and authenticated by PSA or beckett.  Here's another one

Compare to the others I showed in the George / John discussion..

I was told when I bought the Deauville Hotel card that they went looking for Feb 64 items before the 50th anniversary.  They definitely found some!!! Authenticated by PSA as well!

The sets sparkly clean for a supposedly old set. I almost purchased a 64 set the other day, a real set.
Looking at a 70s Black sabbath set from one of these dealers, i also thought to myself there's a good possibility that the item has been mocked up in some way. It had a psa.
If your consigning an item to rrauctions, the item still goes through an independent process regardless of what coa it may have.
Heres the Sabs set, cuts. She is a bit of a mess.
