black sabbath 1970 autographed concert poster / oppening act was bruce springsteen

one of the earliest know autographed black sabbath posters 11-27-1970 done in person for me.

also the oppening act is bruce springsteen(steelmill)

Two shows, triple bill, with the bottom-billed Steel Mill opening for the second-billed Cactus and headliner Black Sabbath (fronted by a spooked Ozzy Osbourne, who received death threats before the show). According to Robbin Thompson the members of Black Sabbath and Cactus had a fistfight over who should close the show.

the bath handbills are pretty common ,i have the posters from 1965 on ans handbills and tickets and private invites .what makes this poster rare is its a small one off show .its in america. and springteen opens.

springteen alone on the poster is worth 2500 to 3500,then sabbath as a one off poster is worth around 2k now u put them together making it very rare and the fact that its band signed.

a collection of bruce posters from 72 from 75 just sold between 1600 and 2500 .

early stones handbill

Oooh! The Pink Floyd...and Roy Harper...and Ron Geesin! All Floyd folk.

Hi John, I am not a serious pop/rock memorablia collector so I'm far from qualified to talk about values. $5k + just seem amazing. I guess if there are enough completists who are heavily into Springsteen and Sabbath the sky's the limit.

Anyway, here are a couple of the Stones things I mentioned (front and back). I would imagine these are rare. The lady that sold them to me saw them several times and remembers sitting virtually next to the pub stage. She now wishes she had got their autographs and taken a few photographs but it was "not done" - and in any event the Stones were not such a big deal then.

ive been collecting paper for 40 years the most expensive concert poster ever sold in public went for around 135k.

this year a few posters went for 30 to 50

tons sold for over 10k this year

some people only collect handbills some only posters some only artist specif,

i just gathered all .i didnt care.i just pack racked  everything for 40 years.

if there signed weather period or not there always worth more to some one.

also some people are very condition issued people and woudnt touch anything not mint some people dont care.

its like watching the stockmarket . it really is part of your assests when u have 10,000 posters .

I sort of agree with Pug. I think if you can get $4,500 for it, that's a steal.

For a lot of the reasons already mentioned.
